DESCRIPTION:2nd Angels of the Road Ride for Veterans – Menomonee \nMenomonee Falls\, WI— The Henrizi-Schneider American Legion Post 382 in Menomonee Falls\, WI along with the partnership of the Open Road Angels will be hosting its 2nd benefit ride\, Angels of the Road Ride for Veterans on Sunday\, September 8th\, 2019. Proceeds from this ride will benefit the Milwaukee Homeless Veterans Initiative. Since 2008\, MHVI has helped more than 3\,000 at-risk Veterans and their families by providing the services to reach and maintain their highest level of independence. Last year this ride raised and donated $7\,000 for their cause. \nAn estimated 300 riders will begin their day at Post 382 with registration at 8 am and rider send off at 9 am. Participants will then embark on their travels to partnering Legion Posts in Washington and Waukesha Counties. Participating Posts are American Legion Post 1 in Germantown\, Post 522 in Hubertus\, Post 294 in Hartland\, Post 399 in Okauchee\, Post 196 in Delafield\, Post 375 in Mukwonago\, and Post 449 in Brookfield. Each Post will offer up its own unique activity or food for the riders to enjoy. Don’t ride a motorcycle? No worries this ride is also open to those wishing to participate in their vehicles as well. After visiting with Veterans at each location and getting their Checkpoint Charlie Card stamped\, riders will return to Menomonee Falls for a wrap up party. \nCost to participate is $25 per bike/car plus $15 per additional rider/passenger. The BBC is most recognized for their annual Rally that has drawn thousands of motorcyclists over the years into the unique experience of British motorcycling in the United States.\nOn July 17-19\, 2020\, the BBC will celebrate their 40th Annual British Biker Cooperative – Motorcycle Rally and Show at Eagle Cave Natural Campground in Blue River\, Wisconsin. The event offers a weekend of activities:including group rides and bike games\, a Motorcycle Show\, Friday night movie\, band Saturday night\, comfortable shaded camping with dedicated quiet areas\, and refreshments. An assortment of on-site amenities include a restaurant\, camp store\, showers\, and cave tours through Wisconsin’s largest commercial cave. The event formally kick-starts on Friday\, but the BBC encourages riders to arrive early to avoid the rush. The BBC Rally location is 60 miles due west of Madison\, Wisconsin near the Wisconsin River and features many area attractions including rides along the majestic Mississippi River\, Frank Lloyd Wright’s Spring Green\, and The House on the Rock.\nThis event offers a great opportunity to see both rare vintage and late model British motorcycles in action on some of the best riding roads in the Midwest. All motorcycle enthusiasts are welcome.
